It was a great day and sweet baptismal service. Granny and Pawpaw spoke. Husband and I sang together. Lots of sweet friends came. Best birthday ever.

Baptism
Somebody had a big, huge, important birthday! Schmoo chose to be baptized- and since his birthday was on a Saturday, he was able to be baptized on his 8th birthday. We had fun with the decorations-Granny was the biggest help ever!! I have ideas and she makes them happen, ie, cookie bouquets :)

Pinewood Derby
It was the year of the first Pinewood Derby. Schmoo decided he wanted a shark, so Dad helped him make a really cool shark. A really cool, really slow shark.
We soooo did not place, but it was a good experience. Kinda. :)
Winter 2013/2014
Winter 2013-2014 was the craziest one yet since we've lived here. We had EIGHT (8!!!!!) snow days. None of the snow falls was exceptionally large, but they were all timed horribly in relation to the school day. Since we have NO snow days built into our schedule... yep, we lost spring break AND had to go to almost the end of June. Idk, the snow days were sooo lovely, it was probably worth it :)
Smart ideas...
When you can get Hershey Kisses for 80 cents a bag after Christmas, you save the red for Valentine's Day and the green for St. Patrick's. Smart Idea from my sister in law :)

Please Stand By
Yeah, I know it's been almost a year since I posted. The blog has not died, it was simply resting. We've been computer-less for some time and I've just been lazy only posting things to Facebook since it is easier from the Ipad that way-especially regarding photos.
New computer in the house-therefore the posts should be coming down the line :)
Welcome back :)

Christmas
As mentioned, Granny and Papa were here for Christmas. We had a good time and were busy between NY, cooking, eating, playing, sleeping, The Franklin Institute (Pompeii), Ocean City, etc.
We wore them out....

Phantom of the Opera
My parents are hard to buy gifts for. You try to pick something out for them and hope that it doesn't end up in their underwear drawer. They don't need anything. When we found out they were coming for Christmas, I finally had a brilliant idea for a present...they had never, ever been to New York City despite all their travels. We bought them tickets to Phantom of the Opera and drove into the city the Saturday before Christmas. Things got hairy right before the Lincoln tunnel until we got to the theatre, but we made it with time to spare :)
We all had a great time and the present was a success!
I had never, ever seen a parking lot like this. These were car elevators! They parked the cars on multiple levels with lifts. It was really cool :)
