Torturing schmoo

We like to harass the poor schmoo.  He tried to hide this spider to scare us, so we started doing it back.  Eventually he got mad and told us to make the spider disappear.  Of course, this is our natural reaction...

And then Dia de los Muertos

I haven't done anything big for Dia de los Muertos for a while.  I used to take my students from Snow out to a graveyard and talk about it.  I can't do that with middle schoolers, so I did an ofrenda with goodies at school.

Government Shutdown

Stupid government.  My dear husband was out for 3 weeks--no backpay, no compensation, had to use all his sick days, vacation, and then bite the bullet.  The good that came from it was that he did a LOT of things for me and my classroom, made lots of good food and took a fabulous field trip with the schmoo.

They went up to the Liberty Science Center--right near the Statue of Liberty.  Since it was the beginning of the school year, there was noooooo one there.  They had the run of the place, and from what I heard, it was awesome!

Vinny

Schmoo was wandering around the house shirtless wearing a gold necklace.  We renamed him Vinny. 

Fall Harvest

Seriously love living in a place that gets all Autumny and produces lovely fruit.  We went to go pick apples, peaches and donuts :)

Goddess

Schmoo looked at me strangely as I came out of my room ready for work today.  I asked him how I looked..  He said, "well, like an Egyptian Goddess.....in her bathrobe."  Lol!  Don't ask a question you don't want answered!
