Schmoo had a birthday! Unfortunately, in most of the pictures I took, he was wearing a birthday crown with his whole name, age, etc on it-and I won't post that on the blog, sorry!

And he says...
Does being 7 years old turn children into sassy know it alls? Schmoo made a snarky comment before bedtime to which I responded "I don't like how snotty you're being." He says, "I'm not blowing my nose or holding a kleenex. Is my nose running?" It's a very good thing I love him so much.

Ahhhhhh! Living with Mr. Literal is sucking all my patience dry. If I hear one more statement like "actually mom, it's 6:13 not 6:15" or "you said we were watching a show but this is a movie" or "there are 3 books in this pile but dad said there were a couple" I'm going to ship him to stay with someone else for a while. Takers?

Gross!
Does anyone need to be reminded that little boys are gross? Just folded the contents of Schmoo's clean laundry basket: 1 Jacket, 2 sets of pjs, 1 pair of baseball pants, 7 shirts, 6 pair of pants and 3 socks. No, not even 3 pair of socks. 3 SOCKS! Thought maybe they didn't make it into the laundry, but nope, 8 clean pair socks in the drawer. Washed 7 days of clothes...3 socks.

Happy Easter!
We had a lovely Easter! We had dear friends over for dinner and the Easter Bunny did not disappoint. We talked of the Atonement and gave thanks for Christ's sacrifice. We worshipped and rejoiced!

And I said...
I went through the drive thru at Mcdonald's today to get a Diet Coke. The employee at the paying window starting saying some things to a coworker in Spanish and ended her comments with quite a naughty word. She turned to me and said, "$1.75 please" to which I responded, "Usarias esta palabra enfrente de tu mama? She about freaked the heck OUT! The look on her face was truly priceless. Then in English "you know these words. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." I told her it was fine, no harm done and that i had been quite amused

And he says...
Schmoo just told me they watched The Swan Princess at school. I told him, "That's the story about me! I'm the Swan Princess" He shook his head and said, "No, mom, you're not a princess. To be a princess you have to be born into a royal family and we're just a bunch of geeks." HA!
